Movie Review: Top Gun: MAVERICK

Top gun: Maverick is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer as well as, the lead actor of this movie, Tom Cruise and it was directed by Joseph Kosinski known for his computer graphics and computer-generated imagery (CGI). The lead actor in this movie is Tom Cruise, who starred as the naval aviator Maverick. The film was released on May 27, 2022, with advance screening starting the day before. Originally it was planned to be released on July 12, 2019, but was delayed to June 26, 2020, to shoot several complex action scenes. It was moved on again on December 23, 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As the time is extended the movie date was fulfilled in May 2022.

Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell graduated from Top Gun, United States Navy Captain for more than 30 years as a test pilot. Maverick was assigned to fly the prototype to the speed objective but then he pushed further to the exceeded limit, and it destroyed the plane. Maverick was sent to NAS North Island as a TOPGUN under the order of Maverick’s friend and former rival, Admiral Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky. In NAS North Island, Maverick was assigned to train an elite group of F/A-18E/F Super Hornet pilots. Maverick later meets with Iceman, who has throat cancer, and communicates by typing on a computer. After Iceman died, Cyclone removed Maverick as mission trainer and set a new parameter that is less risky on approach but riskier on exit.

To sum up, everything that has been stated, I would highly recommend this film to those who like the action and adventure genres. At first, I expected this movie would be boring as I don’t know the actor who starred in this film but after I watched this film, I think it is worth the hype the people give. I love how Joseph Kosinski used visual graphics for this film. Also, this film was relevant as the director touches the part about friendship values and changing the world. It's a bit emotional for me. It is a glorious film in my opinion.
